How to Rotate PDF Pages
- Select a PDF file. All pages are selected when it opens.
- Use Select None, then tick individual pages, or choose Select All, Odd Pages, or Even Pages.
- Use 90° Left, 90° Right, or 180° to rotate the selected pages. A page's own Rotate button turns only that page 90 degrees clockwise.
- Review the preview. Reset All removes your rotation changes if you need to start over.
- Choose Download PDF and open the saved copy to check the final orientation.
Example: Fix One Sideways Page
If page 3 of a five-page scan is sideways, choose Select None, select page 3, and click 90° Left or 90° Right until the text is upright. Pages 1, 2, 4, and 5 keep their existing orientation. For an upside-down page, use 180° once.
Rotate All, Odd, or Even Pages
Select All applies the same adjustment throughout the document. Odd Pages selects pages 1, 3, 5, and so on; Even Pages selects pages 2, 4, 6, and so on. These groups are useful when alternate sides of a scanned document face the wrong way. Check the selected thumbnails before applying a rotation.
What Changes in the PDF?
The tool updates each selected page's rotation setting with pdf-lib. It does not redraw the page as an image, crop its contents, or rearrange the page order. Existing page rotation is combined with your adjustment. Keep the original file and verify forms, annotations, and other important features in the saved copy.
Limitations and Troubleshooting
- This tool changes viewing orientation, not the paper size or content layout. It does not turn a portrait design into a newly laid-out landscape design.
- There is no password entry flow here. A protected or damaged PDF may fail to open or save. Use an accessible copy that you are authorized to edit.
- Large files require more browser memory and can take longer to preview. Try a smaller document or a desktop browser if loading fails.
- Saving an edited signed PDF can invalidate its digital signature. Keep the signed original and use the rotated version as a separate reference copy.
